Yuzu essential oil organic

Our pure organic Yuku oil is cold-pressed from the fresh peels of Citrus junos grown in Japan.

Yuzu adds a very bold, bright, lasting top note to blends, with a very robust citrus scent. It has unique additional qualities provided by the compounds Yuzunone and Yuzuol, which add balsamic sweetness and soft floral overtones. It is prized in aromatherapy for being both uplifting and calming.

Yuzu is unusual among citrus oils in that it contains no phototoxic furanocoumarins, so it will not cause sun sensitivity! This makes it particularly suited for use in anti-aging and revitalizing skin products.

It is an ancient Japanese custom to bathe with Yuzu during winter solstice, and it is a popular folk medicine. It is highly antibacterial, which make it a good choice to use for colds and flu, respiratory and immune support, and it is also used to ease muscle spasms and inflammation.
