B&B Cohosh

Black and Blue Cohosh tincture, a traditional choice for inducing or augmenting labor. For use by a skilled birth practitioner.

Please note that this is a much stronger tincture than the common commercial preparations, so start with very tiny doses (beginning with one drop at a time, at least 20 minutes apart), and slowly work up to a functional dose. Do not exceed the amount required to maintain comfortable labor with satisfactory fetal heart patterns!

Note: B&B can temporarily increase blood pressure if a laboring mother's electrolytes are out of balance. If this happens, stop the B&B immediately and provide a balanced electrolyte drink (a good strong one); resume using B&B carefully while monitoring BP.
