Jamaican Dogwood

Jamaican dogwood bark tincture, Piscidia piscipula. Traditionally used for it's powerful sedative, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, and analgesic properties, this herb works well when blended with other herbs to dilute any potentially toxic effects. Dosages should be very small, only as much as needed to work, and it is not recommended for everyday use. While a professional herbalist, midwife, or doctor might use this herb during labor in rare circumstances such as a particularly painful presentation, it is not recommended for general use during pregnancy or lactation.
