Also known as the "King of all Frankincense", this species grows at higher elevations than the more common Carterii, and has a unique scent compared to other varieties, with a strong sharp pine-like scent, intense deep wooody resinous undertones, and a crisp touch of lemony citrus on top. If you are using frankincense for its healing properties rather than the scent, this one may be the best choice for you. While it is still gentle and very healing for skin, you may want to dilute this frankincense more than you would other varieties.
