Vetiver essential oil has a deep resinous scent, smoly-sweet, and is so thick that it could be mistaken for a resin oil. It is possibly the most-used fixative for perfumes, but is even more widely used for its powerful healing properties. Vetiver is also one of the essential oils which was shown to be effective in clinical sleep apnea trials.
